Chester 11/15/1992 Tennessee walker Gelding Rescued in September 2009 Height- 16 hh Weight- 1300lbs Chester was a neglect case taken in by Lake county animal control in 2009, he was emaciated and abused. When we took him in we got him back to health and taught him how to trust humans again. He has enjoyed years of trail riding over the years and has also done mounted patrol training and parades, he is one of the bravest horses I’ve ever known! Now Chester is older he only does trail riding but you would never know he is as old as he is because he acts like a young boy! Belle Star 2002 Mammoth Mule Mare Rescued in April 2016 Height- 16.1 hh Weight- 1600 Belle was an owner give-up that arrived with Molly mule. She is half female horse and half male donkey, they must be bred this way to be a mule as the opposite way is called a Hinny (Mules and hinnies are sterile and cannot reproduce) Belle has a severe allergy to flies that we are constantly treating and preventing with specialized medicine. Blue 4/1/2005 Paint Horse Gelding Rescued in December 2015 Height- 15 hh Weight- 1200lbs Blue was given up by his previous owner due to his medical conditions. he had an extremely severe case of heaves, this is similar to human asthma. We have him on a specialized program and he hasn’t had a severe flare up since 2017. Blue also had skin cancer which we treated at the University of Florida with the help of chemotherapy and cryotherapy. Faith 2002 Paint Horse Mare Rescued in October 2015 Height- 14.3 hh Weight- 1100lbs Faith was an owner give-up, we were told that she had issues under saddle and the owner was afraid to ride her. After working with he we only discovered that she didn’t want to go any faster than a walk, she also has a couple problems with her hooves that is maintained with shoes.
