Chester 11/15/1992 Tennessee walker Gelding Rescued in September 2009 Height- 16 hh Weight- 1300lbs Chester was a neglect case taken in by Lake county animal control in 2009, he was emaciated and abused. When we took him in we got him back to health and taught him how to trust humans again. Belle Star 2002 Mammoth Mule Mare Rescued in April 2016 Height- 16.1 hh Weight- 1600 Belle was an owner give-up that arrived with Molly mule. She is half female horse and half male donkey, they must be bred this way to be a mule as the opposite way is called a Hinny (Mules and hinnies are sterile and cannot reproduce) Belle has a severe allergy to flies that we are constantly treating and preventing with specialized medicine. We strive to rehabilitate each equine with their own individually required vet care, farrier care and nutritional needs. We provide a safe shelter, personal attention and unconditional love so that we can heal their traumatic past. We invite our community to our facility for educational equine programs.
