Deco was another from Lake county animal control sent there to be euthanized because he had a torn tendon. He was previously a state champion hunter jumper sold for $30K but then passed around from owner to owner re injuring his leg and then drugging him so they could keep riding him. After researching it was determined stem cell therapy would be the best course of action, so we did this and rehabilitated him for over a year. After he was sound for walk trot riding and trail riding which he enjoyed doing until April 2018 when he was diagnosed with a heart murmer brought on by his old age. He has a hard time keeping weight on due to the heart troubles, He is now enjoying retired life getting loved on as much as possible

Our mission at DreamCatcher horse rescue is to rescue, rehabilitate and educate. We strive to rehabilitate each equine with their own individually required vet care, farrier care and nutritional needs. We provide a safe shelter, personal attention and unconditional love so that we can heal their traumatic past. We invite our community to our facility for educational equine programs. We want to share the rewarding love and joy our equines give back to us. Our goals are to create awareness and to educate the community on preventing cruelty, rescue and rehabilitation. Our commitment to these equines is to be their voice and give them the chance they deserve.
